Gibbs FreedomThe Gibbs Freedom was named after the Earth scientist whose theories on spontaneity and free energy within a defined system brought a better understanding of, among other things, physical models and predicting chemical reactions. Even today, this great scientific achievement has since been eclipsed by few others. As such, the Gibbs Freedom spacestation is widely considered the most impressive Human made structure.
SpecificationsType: Colossus-class habitable space station, rotating rings provide permanent residents with gravity (antigravity used elsewhere) Length: 18.453 km Mass: Absolutely 2.5M Tonnes Operational date: December 30, 2247 Engine Type: 4 Behemoth Mk I reactors, 6 Colossus Mk II reactors, 4 Behemoth Mk IV reactors
PersonnelAdministration: 12500 Station security: 8200 Dock workers: 11000 Population: 9,520,000 (est., 99.35% Human; 0.24% Mogensen; 0.4% Union refugees, .01% other)
Miscellaneous FactsThe Gibbs Freedom remains the sole member of the Colossus-class. It was built with the help of the Mogensen in an effort to create the strongest single force in the known galaxy. Its weapons systems are thrice the complement of a Superdreadnaught. It has the capacity to house 17,000,000 permanent residents and as many temporary. The engines, while providing modest mobility, generate high levels of radiation. Although eight dissipater units of unmatched size are in place, the rear third of the station's bulk is un-inhabitable. It was assumed at the time of design that newer engines would become available and half of the restricted area reclaimed for habitation. This would allow fully 22 million more inhabitants live and work at the Gibbs Freedom. Whether this will take place is open to conjecture, as funding for such large engines is scarce. |

Brewer Class Station
The Brewer class space station is named after its
designer, Simon Brewer and the Brewer corporation.
The first production model station was built in 2219, but after a series of
design failures the project was terminated in 2220. This did not deter Brewer, he
later produced a second production model in Earth orbit. This was even larger
than before and one of the most technologically advanced stations in existence.
The design was quickly snapped up by Earth and they ordered the production of eleven
stations. These were named Helios, Elysium, Lucifer, Leviathan, Anubis, Horus, Osiris,
Hyperion, Auriel and Enkidu.
SpecificationsType: Brewer-class habitable space station, rotating rings provide permanent residents with gravity Length: 9 km Mass: Production date: May 11, 2231 Engine Type: 8 Mk7 Gigantus Fusion Reactors
PersonnelAdministration: 15,000 Station security: 25,000 Dock workers: 25,000 Population: 750,000
Miscellaneous FactsThe third spacestation of this class become the home of the Galactic Assembly in 2240. However it is due to be decommissioned early in 2262. |

Intuition SpacestationThis is third earth spacestation that has been built as a place for trade between Earth and the different alien races. It is located in ? space and is the most modern of the three stations. The other two stations are the Phoenix and Eagle stations located in ? amd ? space respectively.
SpecificationsType: Craig-class habitable space station, Rotating sections provide gravity Length: 4.3145 km Mass: 1.4M tonnes Operational date: July 2256
PersonnelAdministration: 3200 Station Security: 300 Dock Workers: 1000 Population: 100,000 (est., Human and Alien)
Station SchematicsMiscellaneous FactsThe Craig-class station is a relatively new design which integrates compactness and accessibility. Almost all business goes on in the main cylinder. This single cylinder combines the docking bay, living quarters, business area, and marketplace. The use of this structure as the station's antenna array negates the need for the separate clamp structures seen on many older stations. It is expected that the design will be well funded and developed until the Craig-class is Earth's largest space station. |
